We are a professional Accounting and Financial Planning practice with full service offices in Margate on the Redcliffe Peninsula just north of Brisbane City, Maryborough and Hervey Bay on the Fraser Coast of Queensland.
The practice had humble beginnings when its founder, Paul Scales opened as a one person practice on the Hornibrook Esplanade, Clontarf Qld in 1976. Some years later Paul and friends Phil Truscott and Chris Foley commenced practice separately in Maryborough and lastly they opened an office in Hervey Bay. The practices were merged to form Accountplan in 2001. Phil retired from the practice in May 2009. Chris Foley retired in 2002 when he was elected into Queensland Parliament as Independent Member for Maryborough. Paul Scales retired from the practice in 2006 to enjoy other pursuits.
Today Accountplan is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australian Wealth Management Group and employs approximately 40 staff.
