We are a local accounting firm with three owners, Mitchell Hamilton, Jay W. Cherry, and David Spradlin. Bob Humphrey, a retired partner, continues to practice with the firm on a consulting basis. The practice was founded by C. M. "Mac" Angel in 1962 and was operated as a sole-proprietorship until 1971 when Bob Humphrey joined the firm. It was converted to a professional corporation in 1975 and continues to be operated as a corporation today. Mitchell Hamilton joined the firm in 1980 and was admitted as a shareholder/partner in 1985. The firm operated with the three owners until November 1, 1993 at which time Mac decided he was ready to retire from public accounting and began work for a long time client in the private sector. In 1996, Bob Humphrey retired from his position of managing partner and Mitchell began operating as the sole shareholder. When Mac retired, Jay and David were added to the staff. They were admitted as shareholder/partners in 1998 and Mitchell assumed the roll of managing partner.

The firm began October 1, 1977, when Randy Watson and Derald Lyons joined Dale Yanari, a sole practitioner who had been in practice in Frisco, Colorado since 1974. Randy Watson and Derald Lyons opened the Denver office in Larimer Square. The practice developed very quickly and a firm philosophy gradually took shape.
